The PTA Budget Committee meets during the summer prior to the upcoming school year to draft the new school year budget. Committee chairs provide estimates of their budgetary needs and fundraising chairs provide estimates of fundraising income for the upcoming school year. Based on these projections, the PTA Budget Committee formulates a budget which is then presented to the PTA board for preliminary approval. The budget is then voted on by the PTA general membership in August. If the budget needs to be amended during the school year, a special meeting will be called for voting before the PTA members.
The PTA budget for the 2009-2010 school year will be presented to the PTA general membership for approval at the August 2009 general meeting.
